Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems, including air brakes, electrical, hydraulic, engine, and emission-related equipment.
  • Specialty Equipment Repair: Diagnose and repair specialty equipment, including trucks and trailers.
  • Field Service: Respond to road calls or breakdowns when necessary to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Parts and Supplies Management: Order parts and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Fleet Management Software: Utilize Dossier Fleet Management Software to record repairs and maintenance, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the regional fleet manager or supervisor to facilitate resolution of fleet-related issues and ensure seamless communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on various types of vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all Federal, State, and Local EPA, DOT, ANSI, OSHA, and Safety laws and regulations concerning fleet operations.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, non-hazardous fumes, and noise. You must be comfortable working independently and be able to interact with customers in a professional manner.

Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps, and road signs.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to speak, cooperate, and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management, while working independently and managing pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy, including email and internet skills, and ability to perform basic math functions.
