Role Overview:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining the availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and stability of our essential infrastructure that underpins various data platforms, applications, and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and sustain automated alerting systems to inform relevant stakeholders of potential outages or performance issues.
  • Analyze performance metrics to detect and rectify latency bottlenecks within our infrastructure.
  • Employ performance enhancement techniques and tools to boost the overall responsiveness of our systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that new features and code modifications do not lead to performance regressions.

Performance Management:

Monitoring and Incident Management:
  • Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive monitoring framework to track the health and performance of our systems.
  • Analyze monitoring data to identify potential issues and proactively troubleshoot problems before they affect users.
  • Document incident responses and lessons learned to enhance our incident management processes.
  • Participate in capacity planning exercises to anticipate future workloads and make proactive recommendations for infrastructure resource expansion or optimization.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices in site reliability engineering, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our practices and tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to review architectural designs, ensuring high availability and robust disaster recovery strategies.
  • Work with the reliability and infrastructure engineering team to foster synergy in tooling for observability, tracing, and alerting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of large-scale distributed systems.
  • Expertise in Linux systems administration, including server management, operating systems, and network configurations.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, preferably with experience in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices, such as GitLab CI/CD and Docker.
  • A commitment to maintaining high availability, performance, and reliability of critical systems in a dynamic financial environment.

Work Environment:
This position offers the flexibility of remote work up to three days a week.
