Job Description:

The Saab company is seeking a highly skilled Lead System Analyst to support the USMC Force-on-Force Training Systems-Next (FoFTS-Next) program.

The successful candidate will provide detailed analysis during USMC training events, utilizing the Marine Corps Tactical Instrumentation System (MCTIS) to create After-Action Review (AAR) products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing analysis and content for AAR support throughout the exercise, as detailed by the Operations Officer.
  • Assisting the exercise leadership in preparation of the ROSTER / Order of Battle.
  • Leading the team of MCTIS System Analysts in the preparation of the ROSTER / Order of Battle during MCCRE or SLTE at your home station.
  • Developing the AAR and 'Take Home' package during MCCRE or SLTE.
  • Operating the full desktop WinEXCON system to provide AAR support.
  • Executing Area Weapon Effect Simulation (AWES) plans and orders received.
  • Proposing dynamic scenario adaptations based on training guidance provided by the Operations Officer and Unit Commander.
  • Monitoring progress of the exercise to ensure capture of key data points to support the DAR/AAR.
  • Communicating with System Training Advisors and uniformed Observer/Controllers during the conduct of the exercise.
  • Analysing and evaluating results; comparing with scheme of maneuver submitted by unit commanders.
  • Generating reports and statistics, with information processed from actual data based on training priorities discussed during pre-training coordination conducted with the unit commander.
  • Preparing material for DAR and AAR.
  • Participating in the execution of DAR/AAR.
  • Assisting with the production of the 'Take Home Pack'.
  • Assisting with any data exploitation tasks, as required.
  • Monitoring AAR creation and output from MCTIS System Analysts, identifying trends to enhance product delivery.
  • When required, identifying MCTIS System Analyst personnel to surge to other locations in support of MCCRE, SLTE, MWX exercises.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading defense and security company, supporting the USMC in revolutionizing their force-on-force training methodology.

Requirements:

  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • If required, able to travel for up to 14 days to conduct training or support a training event.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for long periods of time, and potential for extreme weather conditions.
