Environmental Services Technician

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities- Ensure that contaminated waste products are properly stored and disposal areas are always locked.
- Clean and sanitize floors, equipment, and furniture according to infection-control policies.
- Dust furniture, woodwork, and equipment, and dust-mop floors.
- Polish and clean fixtures in rooms and bathrooms, and wet-mop rooms, halls, and other areas.
- Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers, shampooers, and related environmental service equipment.
- Clean vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes, and other high areas using a ladder.
- Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials using specified bags or containers per established procedures.
- Move furniture and other heavy objects as required.
- Perform terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepare rooms for new occupants, following isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
- Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathrooms.
- Make supply packs and put linen stacks in carts for distribution, taking supply requests and delivering them.
- Deliver linens according to pre-established par levels and schedules.
- Distribute emergency supplies as needed.
- Keep records of linen distribution, checking linen supply and listing linen use.
- Keep work areas neat and orderly, cleaning equipment, and assisting with other cleaning duties as assigned.
- Shovel snow at all exits and ramps.
- Assist with evacuations, when needed.
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the department supervisor.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude and passion for Infinite Hospital Services.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Able to maintain a professional manner at all times.
- Displays integrity and honesty.
- Maintains a positive attitude towards patients, guests, and visitors.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Able to follow and adhere to standard policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to meet scheduling demands of the department.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, speak, and write the English language.
- Night shift differential.
