Position Overview

ACE Machine and Metal Fabrication Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in operating CNC Mills and Lathes, with a strong emphasis on programming and team leadership.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Haas CNC Mills and Lathes.
  • Demonstrated ability to program CNC machinery effectively.
  • Proficient in manually adjusting CNC code.
  • Strong capability to interpret and read technical blueprints.

This role requires a self-driven, goal-oriented individual who can work independently without constant oversight. The position is primarily for the first shift, with potential overtime responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine necessary dimensions, tolerances, and setups.
  • Accurately measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on materials or workpieces to guide subsequent machining processes.
  • Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials for various machining operations.
  • Calculate and set controls to manage machining factors such as speed, feed rates, coolant flow, and cutting depth.
  • Initiate and monitor machine operations to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications, making necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure the finished workpieces conform to established specifications.
  • Operate machinery independently after a brief training period to familiarize with specific machine functionalities.
  • Edit and develop basic CNC programs as required.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control and maintenance of operational run charts is preferred.
