This role involves leadership responsibilities, including training, safety monitoring, quality assurance, and adjusting work assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training on machinery, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Assist management in defining training needs and methods for new hires regarding machine safety, maintenance, setup, operation, quality standards, and production efficiency.
  • Evaluate operator performance and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Complete essential documentation, including approvals for movement, count verification, and equipment repair requests.
  • Act as a communication bridge between departments.
  • Promote a respectful workplace and mediate conflicts among team members.
  • Monitor production metrics and guide troubleshooting efforts, fostering continuous improvement within the department.
  • Interpret blueprints to ascertain machining specifications.
  • Set up machines for production runs and perform manual machining tasks as needed.
  • Identify defective products and conduct root cause analysis to address quality issues.
  • Ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles to enhance production efficiency.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, delivering quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues to prevent future occurrences.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Familiarity with various measuring tools to assess process variability.
  • Proficient in operating different types of CNC and grinding equipment.
  • Capability to identify non-conforming products and perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
