Pharmacy Technician Job Description

At Optum, we're committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients and communities. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team and ensuring the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff
  • Fulfill prescription orders and verify them under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
  • Order, receive, and store pharmacy supplies
  • Process wholesaler medication orders
  • Verify medication stock and maintain inventory records
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Perform various clerical duties related to the pharmacy
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients
Requirements:
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
