Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing and Filling Prescriptions: You will be responsible for accurately filling and dispensing medications to patients, under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Inventory Management: You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and storing pharmacy supplies, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Customer Service: You will provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Pharmacy Operations: You will assist the pharmacist in maintaining the pharmacy's compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as performing various clerical duties related to the department.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician: You must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Valid Driver's License: You must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification: You may hold a national certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Pharmacy and Prescription Data Entry Experience: You may have experience with pharmacy and prescription data entry.
