Position Overview:
Location: Various MCR Health Pharmacy Locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager, Assistant Director of Pharmacy, and/or Senior Director of Pharmacy, oversee the comprehensive practice of pharmacy in compliance with relevant regulatory statutes and accreditation standards; interpret prescription orders; package, label, dispense, administer, and distribute medications and devices while covering shifts at designated MCRHS pharmacy sites.
- Assist the pharmacy manager in effectively operating the pharmacy location as outlined in Florida DPR Statute #465.018, along with other requirements specified in Statutes 465, 21s, 893, and applicable DEA regulations.
- Provide exceptional pharmacy patient care experiences to every patient consistently.
- Engage in communication and collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager to foster continuous improvement and ensure the completion of all assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Perform additional duties or initiatives as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Possession of a Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution is required.
- A current and valid license to practice pharmacy in the state of Florida is mandatory.
- Certification to administer immunizations as indicated on the Pharmacist License is required.
- Current BLS Certification through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist is preferred.
- Experience in community or retail pharmacy settings is preferred.
