Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct, personal care and services to residents in the skilled nursing facility, meeting their physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs on a daily basis to maintain and improve their highest level of independent function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the CNA provides direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assists residents with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and transferring.
  • Provides emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participates in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Certified as a nursing assistant in the State of South Dakota required within 120 days of starting this position.
  • Basic Life Support Certification required within 6 months if primary work shift is a night shift position.

Work Schedule:

The CNA will work evening shifts, including 2:00pm-10:30pm, 4:00pm-10:30pm, and 6:00pm-10:30pm, with the option to work every other or every third weekend and holiday.

Compensation:

The hourly range for this position is $24.00 per hour, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
