Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance to management and staff on various human resources functions, including compliance with labor laws, benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management.
- Develop, analyze, and refine complex HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
- Oversee HR reporting and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Address employee relations matters, collaborating with regional and corporate leaders to resolve issues effectively.
- Lead HR initiatives and projects, ensuring successful implementation and measurable outcomes.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns, including complaints and conflicts, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Coach and mentor management on best practices for employee performance and documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies to enhance HR practices.
- Assist employees and stakeholders with inquiries related to human resources.
- Deliver exceptional service while completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in human resources is required.
- Experience in retail sales and familiarity with New York labor laws is necessary.
- Preferred experience in corporate retail environments across multiple states.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HCM systems is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for success in this role.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are vital.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Proven track record of leading change and driving HR initiatives is required.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Commitment to confidentiality and respect for company values is paramount.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Advanced training in HR management and relevant certifications are advantageous.
Work Schedule:
Standard workdays are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
Work Hours:
Typical hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the possibility of additional hours as required.
