Geriatric Care Specialist Opportunity

AcuteCare Health System LLC is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide high-quality care to our frail elderly participants. As a Geriatric Care Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating and reassessing participants, providing therapeutic exercises, and developing comprehensive occupational therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and reassess participants upon referral from the Interdisciplinary Team
  • Provide and recommend therapeutic exercises
  • Develop and oversee functional maintenance programs

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Valid and current Occupational Therapy License in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience with adult physical disability practicing as an Occupational Therapist
  • Either have one year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or, in the absence of such experience, to receive appropriate training from AcuteCare Health System LLC to work with a frail or elderly population upon hiring

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Practice in Dysphagia
  • Valid Driver's license and vehicle, or other approved means of transportation, and an acceptable driving record
