Mobile Crisis Intervention Specialist

Centerstone is a leading nonprofit behavioral health system dedicated to delivering care that changes people's lives. As a Mobile Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides access to emergency mental health intervention to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Your role will involve providing face-to-face, phone, and telehealth crisis response and assessment services to those in need. You will also provide support and linkage to other area resources with follow-up services to individuals in crisis and their families. You will represent Centerstone in a professional manner when interacting with external entities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide coverage of crisis services beyond scheduled work hours/shifts and as assigned by crisis service supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of all contacts and enter all data in a timely manner.
- Document client follow-up needs for team follow-up.
- Deescalate crisis situations as needed.
- Conduct thorough assessments of risk of harm to self or others and develop plans to ensure safety.
- Make appropriate referrals for least restrictive treatment possible to ensure psychiatric needs are met.
- Respond to calls promptly and create an atmosphere of cooperation with Centerstone departments, community agencies, mental health consumers, and the public at large.
- Attend all team meetings, clinical supervision, and complete online trainings as required.
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency in the utilization of Centerstone programs and other community resources.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention skills.
