Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our surgical team at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center - Appleton. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and skilled care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This is a 0.3 FTE position, working 12 hour shifts every 3rd weekend, with a rotating holiday schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care to surgical patients, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and provide appropriate interventions to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements
  • Current Wisconsin LPN licensure.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move freely in a fast-paced environment.
