Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substations Engineering Lead to join our team at Peak Technical Staffing USA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the design and construction of power substations, development, quality control and programming of protection and control schemes to meet our Partner Utility's needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of working on multidisciplinary project teams and leading projects to ensure completion is on time and on budget. You will be responsible for training and developing new engineers, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and BKI staff, and approving physical, electrical and control designs for construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the design and construction of power substations
  • Develop, quality control and program protection and control schemes
  • Train and develop new engineers
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and BKI staff
  • Approve physical, electrical and control designs for construction

Requirements:

  • BSEE or BSEET degree from an ABET accredited university, preferably with a power option
  • Current Professional Engineers License with the ability to obtain a professional engineering license in states served
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the power-energy industry
  • Proven success in working with utility and construction personnel
  • Leadership skills, being able to directly supervise and mentor other engineers
