Seasonal Highway Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Seasonal Highway Maintenance Worker - Snow and Ice Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our highway system during the winter months.
Key Responsibilities- Perform snow and ice control operations, including plowing, salting, and sanding roadways and shoulders.
- Operate heavy equipment, such as snowplows and graders, to maintain roadways and clear snow and ice.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting and repairing equipment, and performing minor repairs to roadways and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective and efficient snow and ice control operations.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in snow and ice control, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement and no air brake restriction.
- One year of experience in snow and ice control, road maintenance, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak, and understand oral and written information.
- Ability to pass a math and reading assessment.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in inclement weather conditions.
