Job Summary

Solomon C Luo, MD, PC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Technician Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our eye care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering top-notch medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physicians with patient care and minor procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient examination process.
  • Perform Vision and Ocular Tests, explaining procedures to patients and documenting exam details and physician findings in the electronic chart.
  • Prepare and Maintain Treatment Rooms and ophthalmic instruments, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Administer Medications according to compliance standards and maintain inventory of medical supplies.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service, meeting and greeting patients, and ensuring their understanding of all instructions.
  • Train and Mentor Fellow Technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team performance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; minimum one year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or one year of specialized ophthalmic experience.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification preferred or enrolled within twelve months of hire and completion within two years of hire.
