We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright I to join our team at Stimson Lumber. As a Millwright I, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our sawmill operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including conveyor systems, saws, kilns, and de-barkers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and address concerns.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and reliability of machinery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Minimum of 5 years industrial equipment maintenance experience, with experience in sawmill operations preferred.
- Proficient in understanding and working with mechanical systems and components commonly found in sawmills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in welding and fabrication techniques for repairing and modifying equipment components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
