Your Accountabilites:Continuously evaluate and analyze quality, safety and production processes and proceduresProvide daily shift maintenance and troubleshooting for machine centers and equipment, including maintenance reporting and documentationImplement preventative maintenance and troubleshooting programs for machinery and equipmentProvide thorough maintenance reporting, documentation, inventory of parts and closing recordsProactively communicate with all departments to ensure proper operation and maintenance of systems and equipmentServe as a partner to machine operators to help improve machine efficiencyModel, implement and comply with all company work and safety rules and related industry regulationsRegularly educate the maintenance and operations organizations on maintenance and safety programs as they evolveIdentify and suggest new approaches or best known methods to foster our continuous improvement mentalityEvaluate and test equipment efficiency and effectiveness and recommend changes for improvementMaintain, install, repair, improve and troubleshoot all systems, equipment and machinery in the millYour qualifications...A minimum of 5 years industrial equipment maintenance experience, experience with sawmill operations preferredProficient in understanding and working with mechanical systems and components commonly found in sawmills, such as conveyor systems, saws, kilns, and de-barkersAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprintsSkilled in welding and fabrication techniques for repairing and modifying equipment componentsStrong problem-solving skills to identify and diagnose mechanical issues quickly and accuratelyAbility to implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiencyKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems commonly used in sawmill machineryAbility to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot issues related to these systems.Basic understanding of electrical systems and components associated with sawmill equipment. Knowledge of electrical safety practices and the ability to work alongside electricians when neededExperience in implementing preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and reliability of machineryStrict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Knowledge of and compliance with relevant safety regulations in the sawmill industryEffective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and address concernsCollaborative approach to work, demonstrating the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Willingness to share knowledge and mentor less experienced millwrights or apprenticesAbility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work during non-standard hours or weekends to address urgent maintenance needsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTeam player and highly self-motivated individualMakes safety in the workplace a number one priorityAbility to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs and move equipment as neededValid driver's licenseWilling and able to work 4 days per week, 10 hour/day this is a swing shift opportunity hours are 3pm-130amBenefits:401(k) with a 6% company match- vested IMMEDIATELYMedical / Dental / Vision OptionsTemporary $350/mos.
