Residential Aid Position

WellStone is a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in North Alabama, serving over 13,000 individuals annually. We are a non-profit organization that offers a wide range of services for every phase of life, from children to older adults.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Residential Aid to join our team at House 25. As a Residential Aid, you will provide care and support to clients in a group home setting, assisting with daily living skills, social and financial skills, and treatment direction. You will work closely with our therapeutic team to ensure the well-being and safety of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assume supervisory authority of direct care staff in the absence of the House Supervisor
  • Provide instruction, guidance, and reinforcement to residents
  • Implement basic living skills training objectives and document resident progress
  • Coordinate resident activities and complete documentation of staff notes and incident reports
  • Ensure residents comply with home rules and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Administer medication under supervision and document as required
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with computers and software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and 5-year driving record
  • Certification in CPR, 1st Aid, MAC, and CPI
