Job Overview

Facet is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instructional Designer to join our team. As a key member of our instructional design team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning materials for our member-facing employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning courses, video tutorials, user guides, and interactive training modules that enhance understanding, retention, and application of key information and technology.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and determine training requirements for various department audiences.
  • Instructional Design: Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
  • Evaluation and Improvement: Implement assessment and evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training programs and analyze performance data to continuously improve materials.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with department leads, SMEs, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the relevance and accuracy of content.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably within the consumer technology sector.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM standards.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and learning theories (e.g., constructivism, cognitivism).
  • Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and e-learning development.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
