Position Overview:
As a Lead IT Solutions Architect with a focus on in-store retail media, you will play a pivotal role in the design, specification, and documentation of Digital Signage solutions tailored for retail environments. Your technical acumen will ensure that our IT infrastructure is resilient, scalable, and responsive to the evolving demands of the retail sector.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement wired and wireless IT systems specifically for retail settings, emphasizing standardization, performance, flexibility, and scalability.
  • Develop comprehensive wireless network solutions, including optimal access point placement, channel management, and security configurations to guarantee seamless connectivity.
  • Configure and oversee network devices such as routers, switches, and access points to ensure reliability in both fixed and mobile retail scenarios.
  • Create detailed technical documentation for IT systems, including WLAN coverage maps, wiring diagrams, IP schemas, and security protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct antenna range testing to enhance wireless coverage and signal quality.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, perform firmware updates, and provide advanced support to maintain optimal system functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT infrastructure with other operational systems.
  • Research and evaluate new hardware solutions to enhance our service offerings.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in retail hardware systems.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in network engineering or a related field, with a strong background in LAN/WAN design, wireless networking, and network security.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with networking equipment from leading vendors.
  • Familiarity with cellular modem technologies and their application in retail environments.
  • Experience in antenna testing and optimization.
  • Knowledge of cloud management platforms for network devices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in technical documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant industry certifications.
  • Experience with network automation and scripting.
  • Understanding of retail industry trends and requirements.

Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years in IT engineering, system design, or network design, with significant exposure to retail technologies.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
