Truck Driver CDL A Daily Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Temple, TX. As a Ryder driver, you will have the opportunity to drive with a reputable company that values its employees and provides a safe and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
Benefits:
  • Competitive weekly guarantee of $1205
  • Solo miles pay: $0.46 per mile with 2500 miles per week
  • Solo stops pay: $8.00 per stop with stops per week
  • Drop and hook pay: $6.00 per drop/hook
  • Sign-on bonus: $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
  • Shutdown bonus: $2000 in 2 installments in the first year
  • Safety bonus: up to $250 per quarter if applicable
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
