Responsibilities

As an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) with AMR, you will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
  • Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
  • Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • State Driver's License
  • National or State AEMT certification
  • CPR/BLS certifications
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare

Our Benefits

Survivor Benefits - GMR provides company-paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance. In addition, we offer an option to buy additional coverage for you, your spouse, and your children at affordable rates.

Income Protection - We offer company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance to protect a portion of your income in case of disability or extended illness.

Voluntary Benefit Options - We offer a variety of other optional benefits, including financial wellness services, legal coverage, identity theft protection, and more.

The benefits listed apply to most core non-union positions. Union position benefits are dictated by their specific Collective Bargaining Agreement.
