About the Opportunity
Employment Office has an exciting opportunity for full-time Casualty Risk Underwriters. Successful candidates will be responsible for selecting, pricing, and establishing appropriate terms and conditions for brokerage commercial casualty risks.

Your Responsibilities Include:
1. Developing relationships with assigned brokers and expanding brokerage connections.
2. Enhancing production sources and identifying lucrative market opportunities.
3. Analyzing submissions to assess risk based on individual characteristics and exposure.
4. Adhering to reinsurance treaties and underwriting guidelines.
5. Pre-qualifying submissions and utilizing both internal and external information sources for comprehensive risk assessment.
6. Applying creativity and underwriting expertise to write and retain risks within company guidelines.
7. Thoroughly documenting operations, loss history, pricing rationale, and risk pros & cons in the underwriting summary.
8. Effectively communicating with brokers regarding underwriting decisions, including cancellations, declinations, and coverage strategies.
9. Collaborating with other business units within the organization and ensuring compliance with all practices and policies.
10. Promoting the company's products and services through public speaking at insurance-related events and maintaining a robust network within the industry.
11. Willingness to travel nationwide to visit brokers and attend insurance conferences and educational seminars is essential.

More About You
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and have 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in primary casualty or excess casualty brokerage. Strong assets include:
- Extensive relationships with wholesale brokers.
- Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- In-depth industry knowledge and understanding.
- Proficiency in working independently and as part of a diverse team, fostering productive relationships.
- Strong analytical, judgment, and promotional skills.
- Capability to work under time constraints in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proven computer skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally as required.
