Overview

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a highly skilled Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Creighton University Medical Center. As a key member of our Trauma Critical Care Unit Team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our Trauma Surgery service.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat complex medical conditions, developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, providing clear and concise medical information to patients and families.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
    • Provide clear and concise medical information, ensuring seamless communication among team members.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, maintaining high standards of medical documentation.
  • Diagnostic Procedures:
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, collaborating with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
    • Perform procedures as needed, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers, contributing to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, reviewing and analyzing clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
    • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety, ensuring the highest standards of medical practice.
  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice, staying informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards, maintaining high levels of medical professionalism.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices, participating in ongoing medical education and training.
    • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines, ensuring the highest level of medical expertise.
    Qualifications
    • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
    • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
    Pay Range

$66.26 - $77.97 /hour
