Job OverviewErskine Law Group is a leading litigation defense firm representing Fortune 500 companies with offices in multiple locations. Our firm offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to hone litigation skills such as taking depositions, arguing motions, and trying cases. We leverage technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to boost efficiency and provide exceptional client representation.

We are expanding into the San Francisco Bay Area and seeking an experienced associate attorney for remote work initially, with the intent to move to either in-person or hybrid work in a new Berkeley, California office within 6 months. The position requires occasional travel to courthouses around Northern California to make necessary appearances at hearings, settlement conferences, and trial.

The ideal candidate will have 2-8 years of litigation experience who embraces technology and innovation. Qualifications include:

  • Member in good standing of the California State Bar
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Superior communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • The ability to take direction and work autonomously
  • Automotive and/or warranty litigation or product liability experience a plus
  • Trial and/or arbitration experience (first or second chair) a plus
  • Experience working with large, corporate in-house legal departments a plus
