We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Associate I Registration Specialist to join our team at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. As a Patient Access Associate I Registration Specialist, you will be responsible for registering patients in multiple service lines, ensuring accurate and timely entry of demographic, financial, and clinical information.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients and confirm demographic data on registration systems
- Obtain and verify insurance information, including coordination of benefits and pre-certification/prior-authorization
- Screen for and process non-covered services and waiver of liability (ABN)
- Collect patient payments and provide accurate receipts
- Document patient account notes and maintain departmental work queues
- Escalate account issues and provide excellent customer service
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
- At least one year of experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred
