Position Overview:
As a Lead Environmental Exposure Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting ICF Olson's ongoing expansion and diverse client portfolio within our Health Science Practice.

This dedicated team of over 130 scientific experts specializes in various fields, including toxicology, hazard assessment, epidemiology, risk assessment, exposure assessment, and environmental modeling. Our mission is to thoroughly evaluate the impacts of environmental contaminants, such as metals, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds, on both human health and the ecosystem.

Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with federal and state agencies, as well as private sector clients, to produce comprehensive reports that assess the health effects of pollutants. Key tasks will encompass quantitative analysis, qualitative systematic reviews, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert knowledge in exposure assessment, including model selection, input evaluation, implementation, and overall analysis.
  • Assist in systematic literature reviews, including developing PECO statements, conducting screenings, assessing study quality, and ensuring quality control throughout the review process.
  • Synthesize research findings into detailed reports and scientific publications.
  • Oversee project management for initiatives involving quantitative and qualitative evaluations, ensuring effective communication, staffing, scheduling, and quality assurance.
  • Mentor junior exposure analysts, fostering their professional development.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and shaping our exposure science initiatives.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in both quantitative and qualitative environmental exposure analysis.
  • A strong preference for candidates with systematic review experience.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement technical solutions to scientific inquiries.
  • Strong quantitative analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with government programs, particularly U.S. EPA or NIEHS.

Basic Requirements:
A Ph.D. in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and work experience.
