Mental Health Program Coordinator Job Summary
The State of Montana is seeking a skilled Mental Health Program Coordinator to join our team at the Montana Mental Health and Nursing Care Center. As a Mental Health Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in providing professional mental health services to residents and coordinating care plans to ensure quality of care and resident accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate care plans and assign groups, schedules, and clinics to ensure quality of care and resident accountability.
- Counsel residents regarding issues such as day-to-day problems, resident rights, behavior management, family issues, and provide support during emotional crisis.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary care plan team to provide comprehensive mental health services.
- Develop and implement treatment programs to meet the unique needs of residents.
Requirements:
- A LCPC or LCSW is required.
- Considerable knowledge of the principles, terminology, and techniques of psychological assessment, tests and devices, personality therapy, and psychotherapeutic techniques.
- Interviewing and information gathering skills.
- Ability to plan and implement treatment programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Excellent ability to organize and prioritize and maintain concentration and direction in a disruptive environment.
