Utility Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Utility Worker to join our team at Sodexo. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Wash dishes, pots, and pans by hand or in a dishwashing machine.
- Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
- Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors.
- Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
- Transfer supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas.
- Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
- Polish silverware.
- May wash pots and pans.
- Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
- Comply with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
- Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of related experience in a food service or hospitality setting.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
Our kitchen is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with varying schedules to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates. You will be working in a controlled, temperate environment, but may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
