Job Summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a skilled CDL Rear Load Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for collecting and hauling waste and recycling materials to disposal sites or recycling plants.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by delivering trash or recycling containers as needed and replacing them neatly at the curb or designated area.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete logs, and maintain accurate records of routes and driver activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling containers, as well as cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain prior to hire.
  • At least 19 years of age and no more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
  • No DUIs or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Working Conditions

This role may require working in high-traffic conditions, tight driving areas, and exposure to residential and commercial waste. You must be able to travel between offices and work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
