Position Summary
The Financial Program Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting a Government program office.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess operational capability needs and identify appropriate program funding.
- Conduct technical assessments of contractor proposals for program management and contracting personnel.
- Provide guidance to program managers on financial matters related to VIPSAM.
- Formulate acquisition strategies, project timelines, program documentation, financial plans, and other critical documentation.
- Align VIPSAM business operations with procurement, engineering, and product support to ensure superior financial outcomes.
- Review programmatic financial documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist contracting officers in evaluating contractor financial projections and negotiating pricing structures.
- Draft and review contract Statements of Work, Performance Work Statements, and Contract Data Requirements Lists.
- Oversee financial management during the development, integration, and testing phases of VIPSAM sensor systems.
- Coordinate financial status updates with budgetary offices.
- Prepare program briefings covering acquisition, financial, and technical enhancement initiatives.
- Support program managers in tracking contractor schedules and performance metrics.
- Maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Possession of a current TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within a System Program Office, focusing on the development, deployment, and maintenance of weapon systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition reform initiatives, particularly the DoD 5000 series regulations.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills, responsiveness to client needs, and proficiency in writing, speaking, and presenting. Experience in contract negotiations is essential, along with excellent negotiation capabilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and business functions simultaneously.
- A proven history of effective problem-solving, decision-making, financial oversight, logistics management, and program management.
- Demonstrated success in collaborative environments, thriving as part of a high-performing team.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $91,000 - $145,000, reflecting typical salary expectations based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
