Job Title: Director, Tax Returns Operations and Administration

Join the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) in Washington, DC, as we seek a highly skilled Director, Tax Returns Operations and Administration. This role is part of the Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Returns Processing Administration (RPA), and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a portion of the District's tax program.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Returns Processing programs for both paper and electronic filings and Remittance Processing Programs.
  • Oversee the scanning of paper returns into data images.
  • Monitor electronic return and payment submissions.
  • Monitor the tax forms design and development program.
  • Coordinate efforts between OTR and the Lockbox vendor for payment and returns processing and their operations within the terms of the District Tax Code and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have nine (9) years of progressive experience, including three (3) years of managerial experience performing related duties and responsibilities. You should have knowledge of tax codes, regulations, and policies as it relates to tax returns and technical tax information to ensure accurate distribution and processing.
