Job Summary

Sigma Healthcare staffing is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a contract position at one of our esteemed facilities. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of healthcare professionals and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' clinical conditions, recognizing and responding to serious situations, and prioritizing care accordingly.
  • Nursing Diagnoses and Planning: Formulate nursing diagnoses to provide individualized care for patients across the lifespan, including medical, surgical, psychiatric, and obstetrical patients.
  • Discharge Planning and Education: Develop plans of care that reflect patients' special needs, including cultural, religious, physical, and psychosocial requirements, and provide education to patients and families on preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures.
  • Emergency Response and Equipment Operation: Respond to emergency situations, operate and monitor emergency care equipment, and administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Documentation and Communication: Record observations, nursing interventions, and patient status, and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Provide technical guidance, delegation, and direction to other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and unlicensed personnel, and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years of ICU experience required.
  • Licensure: Valid state RN licensure required.
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.
