About the Position

AMN Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team in Cleveland, Texas. As an SLP, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students' academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Train and resource teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment.

Preferred Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
  • Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • An ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
