Speech and Language Therapist Role Overview

Location: Cleveland, TX

Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year. This role involves working directly with students to provide speech and language therapy, conduct assessments, and develop individualized education programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify students' communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs to address students' speech and language goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs and develop strategies to enhance their communication skills.
  • Provide therapy sessions in both individual and group settings to promote students' progress and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided to ensure students' records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student educational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an SLP.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but not required for Clinical Fellows (CF) applicants.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable, but Clinical Fellows (CF) are also welcome to apply.
