Medical Biller Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our team at TemPositions. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies.

Responsibilities:
  • Claim Review and Submission: Review submitted claims for accuracy and completeness, and submit them to insurance companies in a timely manner.
  • Follow-up and Research: Conduct timely follow-up and research on all unpaid claims with insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Appeals and Correspondence: Work on insurance appeals and corrected claims correspondence to ensure accurate payment for our clients.
  • Portal Utilization: Utilize all available portals for claim information to stay up-to-date on claim status and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Appeals and Disputes: Create and submit appeals and corrected claims packets, and other disputes, as necessary, to ensure accurate payment for our clients.
  • Pre-authorizations: Assist with obtaining pre-authorizations when needed to ensure timely payment for our clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years medical billing experience, with at least 1 year of out-of-network billing experience.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Computer Proficiency: Must be computer proficient and able to utilize various software systems.
