**Job Summary**

ARCH Global Precision company is seeking an experienced grinder to take on a leadership role, overseeing mid to advanced level grinding operations and managing a team of machinists.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage production goals, ensuring machines are running efficiently and jobs are assigned to team members.
  • Collaborate with the team to increase productivity and participate in regular meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise in the department and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain various grinding machines, including surface grinding, OD, and ID grinding equipment.
  • Supervise and train team members as needed, escalating serious situations to the Plant Supervisor.
  • Ensure team members complete required safety training and report key metrics to the Plant Supervisor or General Manager.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to the team, while also maintaining a high level of performance as a grinder.

**Requirements:**

  • Leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and motivate the team.
  • Dependability, with a strong focus on following instructions and responding to management direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to process improvement.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to work with various software systems.

**Qualifications:**

  • Equivalent to a high school education or related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in operating OD/ID Grinders, surface grinders, centerless grinders, and other grinding equipment.
