Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services to students with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech-language strategies into the classroom.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' progress and needs.
  • Educate and support school staff and parents on strategies to assist students in improving their communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Mexico.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
