Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Los Lunas, NM. As an SLP, you will provide essential services to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that support students in achieving their academic and social goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech-language strategies into the classroom.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' progress and needs.
  • Educate and support school staff and parents on strategies to assist students in improving their communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Mexico.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
