Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

We are seeking ambitious and energetic leaders to join our team as a full-time, Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a clinical provider maintaining and promoting the health of the patient requiring acute care. The Nurse Practitioner models compassionate and patient centered focused care while collaborating with the inter-professional healthcare team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide medical services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide medical care under the direction of the physician
* Conducts comprehensive health assessments (initial, ongoing, discharge), identifies normal/abnormal health characteristics, develops plan of care, initiates appropriate interventions, and evaluates care outcomes on defined patient populations(s)
* Performs delegated functions under physician supervision, such as differential diagnosis, use of prescriptive authority, and treatment according to practice guidelines, protocols, and/or standing orders. Accepts accountability for outcomes in health care
* Uses critical thinking skills and clinical judgement to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. Collaborates with the Physician and healthcare team members to manage/coordinate patient care
* Record accurate consultation data in patients' records
* Charting in the patient's medical record is routinely to be completed on the same day as the patient's visit
* Instigate necessary invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings/reports
* Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualized patient care
* Contribute to the practice achieving its quality targets to sustain the high standards of patient care and service delivery
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the practice
* Follow all internal policies and procedures; be accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processing/documentation
* See patients in a timely and efficient manner, stay reasonably on time for scheduled appointments in practice throughout the day, unless exceptional circumstances occur
* Maintains current licensure and credentials. Remains current in practice
* Responds and comply to requests for information including sending faxes and e-mails
* Report statistics as required
* Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements
* Follows all safety rules on the job. Reports all accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the work place
* Travels as necessary to other facilities
* Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
**Requirements:**
* Recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
* Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas
* BLS, ACLS
* Master's degree in nursing
