Position Summary:

The Financial Services Representative is essential in upholding the bank's reputation, responsible for delivering prompt and precise customer service while executing various financial transactions. This role focuses on customer interactions, including cashing checks, accepting deposits, and processing withdrawals, all while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transaction Management:
  • Process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Cash checks and disburse funds after verifying signatures and customer balances.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and reconcile discrepancies following bank procedures.
Customer Engagement and Sales:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
  • Engage proactively with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable banking products and services, contributing to branch sales goals.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships by providing information about bank services, products, and promotions.
  • Conduct outreach to existing and former customers to promote bank offerings.
Referrals and Business Development:
  • Identify opportunities to refer customers to appropriate bank specialists, enhancing customer engagement and branch profitability.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all bank products and services to effectively cross-sell and make referrals.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Adhere strictly to all bank policies, procedures, and regulations to mitigate fraud and manage risk.
  • Stay updated on bank offerings, policies, and regulations through ongoing training and professional development.
Administrative Duties:
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and overall appearance of the branch through various housekeeping tasks.
  • Occasionally lift or move items up to twenty-five pounds.
  • Support other branches during staff shortages as needed.
  • Comply with all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Department Head.

Qualifications:

  1. College degree or equivalent; further education in business or a related field is advantageous.
  2. Bilingual skills are desirable.
  3. Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, sales, or a related role is preferred.
  4. Skills:
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications and capable of operating standard office equipment.
