Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to patients requiring fetal assessment and monitoring
  • Manage patient pain, including epidurals and patient-controlled analgesia
  • Encourage family-centered care and support breastfeeding mothers
  • Guide and mentor new employees
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
Requirements
  • Current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia
  • ADN degree (BSN preferred)
  • BLS certification
  • At least one year of L&D experience
  • Knowledge of antepartum and intrapartum nursing along with postpartum couplet care
