Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery PRN Opportunity

Job Summary:

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse to join our Labor Delivery Recovery Post-Partum unit. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing nursing care for LDRP patients, making clinical assessments, and managing treatment autonomously.

Responsibilities:

  • Care for patients requiring fetal assessment/fetal monitoring
  • Manage patient pain, including epidurals and patient-controlled analgesia
  • Encourage Family Centered Care
  • Guide and support new employees
  • Support mothers who breastfeed
  • Instruct and educate patients and families

Requirements:

  • Current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia
  • ADN degree (BSN preferred)
  • BLS certification
  • At least one year of L&D experience
  • Knowledge of antepartum and intrapartum nursing along with postpartum couplet care
