Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Firelands Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography scans on patients, ensuring accurate and high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment. This is a part-time position working 2nd shift.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography scans on patients, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Position patients and plan imaging studies, adapting plans as needed for patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Assist patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Start IVs for contrast studies and prepare contrast media for CT scans.
  • Check patient history for prior studies relevant to current scans.
  • Coordinate scheduling, transportation, and scanning of patients with CT suite activities.
  • Select and operate equipment appropriately, following manufacturer guidelines and prescribed techniques.
  • Observe patients and machines during procedures, reporting unusual occurrences.
  • Perform patient assessments to assist radiologists during interpretation.
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment and daily/weekly technologist QC.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal radiologic technology training program in an approved school.
  • ARRT (R) (CT) certification required; ARRT (CT) preferred.
  • ODH license in radiography required.
  • Current certification in CPR, with bi-annual recertification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring multitasking and proper body mechanics.
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift patients from carts, wheelchairs, or other transport devices, onto imaging tables/couches.
  • Compliance with Service Excellence, Quality, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Ability to read and write small letters and numbers, maintain neat and orderly files and records, and communicate effectively with management, physicians, coworkers, patients, and students.
