Job Title: Outpatient Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide clinical services to pediatric patients, utilizing standards of care and evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and current state licensure. Experience with the target population is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing.
  • Consult, educate, and train patients and their caregivers.
  • Provide clinical services, utilizing standards of care and evidence-based practices, with appropriate goals, and duration and intensity of service for each patient's needs.
  • Comply with department and regulatory requirements and guidelines for all types of documentation, charging, and scheduling.
  • Supervise and educate colleagues, new employees, and students in training.
  • Maintain effective and appropriate communication and relationships with other professionals, patients, families, and other caregivers.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state Speech Pathologist license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., word processing and email).
  • Current certificate of clinical competence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Speech Pathology experience.
  • Hospital experience.
  • Experience with the target population to be treated.

Work Environment:

St George Regional Hospital, St George, Utah.

Work Schedule:

Part-time position, eligible for full-time benefits.
