JOB OVERVIEW

This position is essential for delivering primary project assistance for Global Services within Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. The role involves coordinating testing, managing releases, gathering requirements, and collaborating closely with the Proxima Team and Senior Leadership in Guest Services to facilitate development and enhancements for both Quest and Proxima systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Proxima development team to ensure all Global Guest Services requirements are identified, developed, tested, and implemented throughout the Proxima launch lifecycle.
  • Document and map interfaces between legacy systems and new applications.
  • Engage with various departmental system application development teams to ensure accurate translation of business needs.
  • Assist with change request requirements for Global Guest Services projects.
  • Maintain and prioritize the backlog, including bug fixes and minor enhancements.
  • Participate in regular priority meetings to analyze workflows, understand business processes, and provide recommendations.
  • Initiate and support actions to implement innovative methods for translating business transactions within the system.
  • Evaluate requests from business units to assess current and future system capabilities, recommending changes with a global perspective.
  • Develop and adhere to the change control process, ensuring proper methodology and implementation, including training, scripting, communication, and execution.
  • Support testing efforts by ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved promptly.
  • Debug production issues and propose manual workarounds within Proxima.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues, including application-related challenges.
  • Analyze existing processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement, presenting findings to management and business stakeholders.
  • Engage with stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of small projects related to Proxima and Quest.

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business Studies, Business Information Systems, or Computer Science

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 2 years of experience in business process design or requirements gathering, translating business needs for development, experience as a Business Analyst with technical skills, and/or as a super user of reservation applications utilized within the enterprise. Experience in travel or hospitality web/reservation systems is preferred.

  • Proficient problem-solving skills complemented by demonstrated analytical and qualitative capabilities.
  • Ability to produce deliverables related to stakeholder analysis, functional requirements, scope statements, wireframes, process flows, data flow diagrams, test plans, and communication plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Visio, and MS Project.
  • Technical knowledge and business awareness.
  • Cultural and service awareness.
  • Strong investigation and diagnostic skills.
