Job Purpose

The role of the Janitor is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting atmosphere for our guests. As the face of our brand, Janitors are responsible for ensuring that facilities are well-kept and ready for use. Through effective cleaning practices and attention to detail, Janitors contribute to a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

This is an entry-level position with no minimum qualifications required, provided that all applicable employment laws are met. However, the following are preferred:

  • Two years of janitorial experience
  • Two years of floor maintenance experience
  • Basic computer skills in a PC environment
  • Experience with SDS and chemical safety
  • General mechanical maintenance and repair knowledge

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet and acknowledge every guest sincerely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance throughout the facility.
  • Identify and implement improvements in cleanliness and operations to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to prevent theft and address safety concerns.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform duties with minimal disruption to guest experiences.
  • Adhere to safe work practices at all times.
  • Report equipment outages and maintain tracking sheets for cleaned areas.
  • Follow company policies and procedures consistently.

Performance Metrics

Janitors will be evaluated based on cleanliness standards, supply management, and attendance metrics.

Physical Requirements

This position requires physical activities such as bending, lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods. Janitors must be able to lift objects weighing 50 lbs or more safely.

Supervisory Functions

This role typically does not involve supervisory responsibilities. However, in situations where multiple Janitors are present, a lead may be designated by the Store Manager for specific projects.
