Job Summary:
The Manager of Accounts Payable will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves leading a team of AP professionals, managing vendor relationships, and continuously improving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the AP department, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and disbursements.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain and enforce AP policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Prepare and present reports on AP metrics, cash flow, and outstanding liabilities to senior management.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
